AIDA Cruises has set the date for the refurbishments of two more of its Sphinx-class ships, AIDAluna and AIDAbella, as part of its AIDA Evolution modernisation programme.

AIDA Evolution will modernise the first three ships of the Sphinx class by 2026. The first ship to be updated will be AIDAdiva, which will enter the Chantier Naval shipyard in Marseille, France, from 3 February to 22 March 2025. AIDAluna will now be in the shipyard from 22 October to 10 December 2025, followed by AIDAbella from 21 January to 11 March 2026.

The seven-week dry dock will upgrade each ships’ technology and provide new experiences and services, including venues from the latest generation of AIDA vessels. All guest staterooms will also be refreshed, and the number of suites onboard will be increased.

Several new restaurants will be added to the three ships, alongside a selection of signature bars. The Theatrium will be redesigned with new seating and colour scheme, while activity areas will be created specifically for families with children.
