Ege Carpets designs “beautiful carpets for a sustainable future”

By Mette Frydensbjerg Jacobsen |

Having worked with leading cruise developers for more than 30 years to create custom-designed carpets that enhance the onboard experience, Ege Carpets knows how to deliver a successful marine carpet installation onboard cruise ships and passenger ferries.

Ege Carpets’ product range is International Maritime Organization, Cradle to Cradle and Indoor Air Comfort Gold certified, making us a top-performing marine flooring choice when it comes to protecting people and the planet. Customers can develop their own unique design from our high-quality marine carpet concepts – including Colortec, Graphic and Highline – and we also offer several services to support them throughout their project.

To help customers choose their preferred carpet, we can provide realistic samples and large-scale paper prints. A small prototype made from real materials allows them to feel the exquisite yarn, evaluate the pattern details and get a sense of the impressive colour combinations. In addition, a large paper print can help them to visualise the scale of the pattern.

We offer carpets in two standard widths – 400 and 500 centimetres – but can also provide products in any width from 300 centimetres upwards to match the size of the room as closely as possible. This helps to minimise cost, installation time and waste.

To significantly reduce installation time, customers can use Ege Carpets’ pre-cut service, where carpets are cut to size before shipment. This is an ideal option for rooms and corridors on cruise ships and hotels. Skirting can also be done before shipment and rolled separately to make it much easier to handle on site.

At Ege Carpets, we design beautiful carpets for a sustainable future. We offer a unique approach to carpet design, quality, craftmanship and sustainability, and have a long tradition of working with internationally renowned designers and artists. We provide all our customers with complete design freedom.
