The Port of Bilbao in Spain is set to welcome 20 cruise ships stopping over in September, breaking the port’s record for a single month.
The month began with the arrival of Disney Dream on its maiden call to Bilbao. MSC Cruises’ Fantasia also made its first visit to the port on 6 September, which also saw the arrival of Windstar Cruises’ Star Legend.
On 7 September, Norwegian Gem set sail on a roundtrip cruise from Bilbao, calling at destinations in France, the Netherlands, the UK, Belgium, Portugal and Spain. The ship will return to Bilbao on 19 September, before departing again on the same day for a cruise to Civitavecchia in Rome, Italy. Ships from Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Azamara, Celebrity Cruises, AIDA Cruises and Silversea Cruises will also visit throughout the month.
In total, 80 cruise ships will stop over at the Port of Bilbao in 2023.
