Cruise retailer Harding+ has partnered with spirits company Cotswolds Distillery to bring its range of UK-produced whiskies and gins exclusively to P&O Cruises and Cunard ships .

During the first phase of the roll out, the brands hosted a series of bar takeovers, tasting events and specialist promotions and also sold hundreds of bottles in shops onboard P&O Britannia and P&O Iona. By the end of the year, the beverages and experiences will be available across all 10 ships in the P&O Cruises and Cunard brands, both of which are owned by Carnival Corporation.

“The award-winning drinks that Cotswolds Distillery produce are exactly what discerning guests with time to invest in a new product are looking for, and by blending the onboard experience with a story that can continue back on land with a value-for-money live distillery experience,” said Matthew Hodges, chief commercial officer for Harding+.

Cotswolds Distillery Whisky has already become the number one liquor brand sold onboard P&O Britannia, thanks to the launch experience which includes a takeover of the onboard gin and whisky bars, whisky masterclasses, intimate one-to-one brand tasting events, and a brand serve theatre featuring vapour bubble guns.

“The Cotswolds Distillery interactive and sensorial experiences, as well as launching our new and innovative and premium products onboard, offer the guests new and engaging reasons to purchase outstanding gin and whisky,” said Lynsey Eades, Cotswolds Distillery’s director of internationals sales and global travel retail.
