Ambassador Cruise Line’s second ship, Ambition, is to dry dock at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany, after the shipyard was awarded the contract in a competitive pitch process.

Ambition will be equipped with environmental technologies to make it compliant with International Maritime Organization Tier III requirements, allowing it to sail in protected areas around the world. The ship will also receive a new livery and Ambassador branding, as well as undergoing a refurbishment of its venues and furnishings.

The cruise line previously announced that Ambition will be christened by Shirley Robertsen OBE at an official ceremony in Newcastle, UK, on 11 May ahead of a 14-night ‘Hidden Gems of France and Spain’ cruise departing from the Port of Tyne on 12 May.
