French cruise operator CroisiEurope has added three new ‘repositioning’ cruises that will take its ocean ship, La Belle des Océans, from the Mediterranean to the Moroccan Coast and the Canary Islands.

A six-night Balearic Islands cruise will depart from Nice, France, on 16 October and will call at the Spanish ports of Mahon, Palma and Ibiza, before concluding in Barcelona, Spain. Throughout the cruise, guests will be able to experience Spanish cuisine with an onboard cocktail party serving sangria and tapas, a traditional meal at a Mallorcan restaurant, tastings of Spanish pastries onboard and a tasting of Spanish cold cuts at La Boqueria Market in Barcelona.

This will be followed by a seven-night cruise leaving Barcelona on 22 October to call at Roses, Palamos, Tarragona and Cartagena in Spain. Guests will be able to visit sights such as La Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, the Dali Theater-Museum and the Picasso Museum in Malaga, where the cruise will conclude.

Finally, a seven-night cruise from Malaga to Arrecife in the Canary Islands will focus on Mudéjar art, which was the result of the blending of European and Moorish styles during the Moorish invasion of Spain. The cruise will stop at Tangier, Casablanca, and Agadir in Morocco, with highlights including visits to The Alhambra, Jardin Majorelle, the town of Taroudant and the city of Rabat. Guests can also enjoy tapas and sangria onboard, a tasting of Moroccan pastries and mint tea, a Moroccan lunch in the medina of Marrakesh and a tasting of wine and cheese from the Canary Islands.

The 130-guest La Belle des Océans has 65 ocean-view suites and features public spaces including a swimming pool, two bars, a restaurant, an outside grill, fitness centre and wellness salon.
