India-based company Zen Cruises has launched its first brand, Jalesh Cruises, which will offer a “rich experience” of Indian culture, hospitality and food to domestic and international travellers.

Jalesh Cruises will welcome its first ship, a 2,000-passenger vessel, to the fleet during a traditional christening ceremony in Mumbai this April. The vessel will have staterooms and other facilities that are designed to accommodate passengers of all ages and physical abilities. There will also be several fine dining restaurants, which will cater to Jains.

Onboard entertainment will be tailored to suit the preferences of Indian guests and will include Broadway shows, plays, magic shows, live music concerts, dance performances, and more.

“Zen Cruises is pioneering cruise holidays for Indian passengers in both domestic and international waters,” said Jurgen Bailom, president and CEO of Zen Cruises. “Our premiere brand Jalesh Cruises believes in upholding the spirit, culture and values of ‘Incredible India’ by contributing to the growth of tourism and allied businesses in India. Jalesh Cruises will be a wholesome experience to cruisers who will get the best of culinary experiences, accommodation, wellness and retail therapy, adventure and entertainment, all packed together in one exotic vacation. Zen Cruises wants to grow the cruise market as a whole in India. Our aim is to touch, delight and fulfil the lives of a million Indians and make them travel worldwide by 2025.”

Jalesh Cruises will offer itineraries that include calls in India’s port cities, such as Chennai, Kochi, Mormugoa, Mumbai and Vizag. Guests will also be able to visit international locations, including Abu Dhabi; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates; Muscat, Oman; Penang, Malaysia; and Singapore. Jaslesh Cruises has developed shore excursions in each of these destinations.
