World Navigator, operated by Atlas Ocean Voyages, made its maiden call in Ceuta, a Spanish port city located on the North African coast in the Strait of Gibraltar, on 16 September 2023. In keeping with maritime tradition, the milestone was celebrated with a ceremony where the port gifted a commemorative plaque to the ship’s captain.

World Navigator travelled to the Spanish port from the Port of Cádiz, on a 10-day itinerary from Lisbon in Portugal to Villefranche-sur-Mer in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. The ship, which launched in 2021, accommodates up to 200 guests and 175 crew. It also features the first-ever L’OCCITANE spa at sea.

“World Navigator’s arrival in Ceuta is the result of the hard work carried out by the commercial and marketing department of the Port Authority of Ceuta”, said a spokesperson for the port. “This cruise is the first to arrive in Ceuta after the summer cruise season, so more visits are expected until the end of the year.”

On 15 October 2023, the ship will commence a 12-day itinerary from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It will then spend the winter season sailing a series of roundtrip itineraries from Ushuaia in Argentina.
