Atlas Ocean Voyages’ new expedition cruise ship World Navigator is to feature the first-ever L’OCCITANE spa at sea when she launches in July 2021.

To be located on World Navigator’s main deck, SeaSpa by L'OCCITANE will span 947 square feet and comprise a reception room, two treatment rooms, an infrared sauna and a serenity lounge with loungers and expansive windows.

“We are glad to partner with L'OCCITANE to bring its signature treatments to the open seas,” said Mário Ferreira, chairman of Mystic Invest, parent company of Atlas Ocean Voyages. “World Navigator’s SeaSpa by L'OCCITANE will offer experienced, inquisitive and fun-seeking guests the luxury brand’s Mediterranean art-de-vivre with the same top-quality service and ingredients for which L'OCCITANE is world-renowned. Our two companies have already been working well together for Mystic Invest’s hotel brands and river vessels, and this is a positive, organic next step.”

Guests will be able to choose from a “holistic and sensorial menu” of spa treatments, all of which will be performed by hand with ingredients from Provence that have been certified in origin and proven effectiveness.

In addition, all the en-suite spa bathrooms in the ship’s staterooms and suites will be equipped with complimentary L’OCCITANE shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and handwash.

“We are delighted to go further in our partnership with Mystic Invest and bring Spa L’OCCITANE unique experience to sea with Atlas Ocean Voyages,” said Frederic Darque, general manager of L’OCCITANE’s global business-to-business and spa operations. “Travellers at sea can enjoy the same high-quality treatments as they do on land, a fully integrated well-being journey to the sunny soils of the South of France.”

The 196-guest World Navigator is scheduled to embark on an inaugural season of seven- to 24-night itineraries in The Holy Land, Black and Mediterranean Seas in summer 2021. The ship will then offer a series of nine- to 13-night cruises in the Caribbean, South America and Antarctic for winter 2021-2022.

Two sister ships – World Traveller and World Seeker – will debut in 2022, followed by World Adventurer and World Discoverer in 2023.
