There are just a few weeks left until the first-ever Cruise Ship Interiors Expo (CSIE) Europe takes place in Barcelona, Spain on 4-5 December. We’ve already revealed an impressive line-up of industry experts who are set to take stage at the conference, including our keynote speaker, renowned interior designer Adam D. Tihany.

A new addition to the line-up is Daniela Herget, who has just been appointed as director of newbuild interior outfitting at Quark Expeditions. Herget has worked in the cruise industry for 26 years, most recently specialising in lean interior outfitting, a process that was developed in collaboration with Royal Caribbean International and Porsche Consulting to achieve a 150% increase in operational efficiency during ship revitalisations. At CSIE Europe, Herget will participate in the ‘Specification & Procurement Processes’ panel on 5 December and will also moderate the ‘Design Imperatives for Expedition Interiors’ discussion later that same day.

Angelica Bapty, hotel superintendent at Genting Hong Kong will be joining Herget as part of the ‘Specifications and Procurement Processes’ panel alongside Petra Ryberg, head of design at P&O Australia; Antonio Di Nenno, lead architect at MSC Cruises; and Alexis Gouilly Frossard, director of KETTAL.

Another key name on the speaker line-up is Joanna Knight, who is responsible for interior design and purchasing at JK Interiors. Knight has been working on hospitality and cruise ship interiors projects since 1997 and her company has completed the interior design, cost scheduling and the furniture, fixtures and equipment specifications for 10 cruise ships and numerous hotels over the past four years alone. She will harness this expertise to moderate the ‘Streamlining the Refit Process’ panel session on 5 December.

We’ve not just been focusing on speakers, however. CSIE Europe will also showcase products and services from 160 exhibitors to create a show floor that is jam-packed with the biggest names in the industry. This will include Trimline, Marine Interiors – a Fincantieri company, YSA Design, De Jorio Design International, TeamHoff, Bolidt and Bez Marine Interiors just to name a few. There will also be companies that are ready to supply the marine sector, but have never displayed at a cruise event before, including Dyson, Roda, STABLE and MDesigns.

Registrations have been coming in daily from the cruise lines and we’re set to welcome representatives from Royal Caribbean, Mystic Cruises, Marella Cruises, Virgin Voyages, TUI Cruises, Silversea Cruises, Costa Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, P&O Cruises, MSC Cruises and Disney Cruise Line. Click here to read more about who will be attending.

If you haven’t registered yet, secure your free pass today and also read our Show Preview to find out all the information that you will need to know about CSIE Europe, such as the full floorplan, a list of exhibitors in alphabetical order, and a conference programme overview. As a bonus, the Show Preview also has an exclusive interview with Tihany, which is well worth a read.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to CSIE Europe in December.
