ICFR has opened the voting period for our first-ever Ship of the Year awards, which will celebrate the game-changing cruise ships and passenger ferries that entered service in 2019.

Over the past couple of months, we’ve received numerous nominations for the new cruise ships, river cruise vessels, ferries and high-speed ferries that have surpassed our readers’ expectations in terms of innovative construction and design, onboard amenities and experiences, and environmental stewardship.

Now, we’re excited to reveal which five ships have made the shortlist in each of the four categories and we’re inviting our readers to vote for the vessels they think deserve to win our prestigious accolade.

To ensure your favourite ship gets the recognition it deserves, all you need to do is head to our voting page to view the shortlist and select your preferred vessel. You are permitted to vote for ships in all categories.

Confidential votes can be submitted between 24 January to 24 February. The ICFR team will then review all submissions and reveal the winners in each category in the Spring/Summer 2020 issue of ICFR, which will be published in March 2020.

Keep up to date with all the latest news about the Ship of the Year awards and receive voting reminders by following ICFR’s Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter pages and using the following hashtag: #SOTY
