Virgin Voyages will offer an exclusive on-demand champagne delivery service named ‘Shake for Champagne’, which will be available onboard its first ship, Scarlet Lady, when she debuts in 2020.

Guests will be able to request champagne from anywhere onboard Scarlet Lady by shaking the Virgin Voyages Sailors app, revealing a champagne button. When pressed, a 750ml bottle of Möet Chandon Impérial will be delivered in a red champagne bucket with two glasses.

“There’s nothing more luxurious than having champagne at your beck and call or even a shake,” said Nathan Rosenberg, chief marketing officer of Virgin Voyages. “We are committed to creating the world’s most irresistible travel brand, so we thought long and hard about how to help our Sailors effortlessly get a sip of bubbly during their voyage, and ‘Shake for Champagne’ was conjured up!”

Scarlet Lady will also include a champagne lounge and caviar bar, Sip. The lounge will showcase a curated range of champagne labels, priced from US$9 to a vintage bottle costing US$1,000. Sip will also offer a signature afternoon high tea, acknowledging Virgin’s British heritage. Designed by HKS Hospitality Interiors, the lounge will feature a long marble bar and deep ocean blue banquette walls and carpets throughout the space.

Scarlet Lady will accommodate over 2,770 passengers and 1,150 crew on her inaugural voyage from Miami, US to the Caribbean in 2020.
