Maritime electronics provider Seatronx has launched its new RRD-19T river radar display to improve river navigation. The system offers enhances visibility in all lighting conditions and can withstand harsh marine conditions.

It features a 19-inch display with portrait orientation to help operators of river vessels to see further and also highlights traffic, weather and markers. The high-definition display produces a clear image during the day and at night. It is also simple to install and is compatible with most black box radars.

“River navigation is tricky and can be quite dangerous,” said Anthony Zuccarelli, operations principal at Seatronx. “Critical decisions are often made instantaneously to maintain the safety of both crew and cargo. The RRD-19T display is engineered to uniquely display critical information in these challenging environments that allow operators to manoeuvre based on reliably clear information.”

Operators can also view cameras, vessel monitoring, navigation and communication computers from the RRD-19T display, reducing costs and equipment clutter.
