Experts from all areas of the maritime and shipping industries will be attending the Nor-Shipping 2013 conference, which begins in Oslo in three months time.

Between 4-7 June, representatives from the industry, covering everything from shipowners and technology and service companies, to regulators and financiers, will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the latest maritime and shipping issues and trends. One key topic of discussion will be what the future holds for the maritime and shipping industries.

Keynote speakers include Trond Giske, Norway’s Minister of Trade and Industry, and the International Maritime Organisation’s secretary general Koji Sekimizu.
Trond Kleivdal, president of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association , will provide the opening remarks. This will be followed by the Nor-Shipping award ceremony for excellence in the industry.

A lively roundtable discussion will be moderated by journalist and CNN analyst Todd Benjamin, with contributions from experts from the regulatory, political and technological industries.

There will also be an appearance from HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and a performance from award-winning trumpet soloist Tine Thing Helseth.
International Cruise and Ferry Review will act as the media sponsor for the Nor-Shipping conference and will supply copies of the latest issue of its magazine to the media area at the event.
