To be held from 15-17 September in Saint John, New Brunswick, the Canadian Ferry Association (CFA) 2019 Conference and Trade Show will focus on the theme of ‘innovation in customer experience’.

Panel discussions will focus on new technologies for existing vessels, training crew to meet customer needs, elevating the customer experience, hybrid propulsion systems, the International Association of Classification Societies’ role in supporting the international maritime community, and the national challenges facing Canadian ferry terminals, routes and ferries.

In addition, delegates will be able to attend presentations from CFA, Transport Canada, Green Marine and Schottel Canada, as well as exhibitor showcases and technical sessions hosted by ABS, Damen Shipyards and Wärtsilä. Plus, there will be networking opportunities, luncheons, a gala dinner and a sunset cruise and evening reception onboard Bay Ferries’ Fundy Rose.

A post-conference workshop on recruiting and retaining women in the ferry sector will take place on 18 September.
