Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 made her first visit to Saguenay, the third-largest cruise port in Quebec, on 6 October.

Queen Mary 2 was greeted by nearly 40,000 spectators and more than 160 volunteers dressed in La Fabuleuse costumes, who also performed traditional dances and offered samples of local products. Jean Tremblay, the Mayor of Saguenay, joined other local dignitaries to welcome Queen Mary 2’s captain Kevin Oprey.

Following a fireworks display organised by the Saguenay Fjord's villages, Queen Mary 2 departed the harbour to a musical performance by QuébecIssime.
