Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Sensation now features a new children’s area and several additional food and beverage concepts following a multi-million-dollar renovation in Freeport, The Bahamas.

Added to the 2,052-passenger Carnival Sensation during a two-week dry dock, the new poolside venues include the Caribbean-themed RedFrog Rum Bar, Mexican eatery BlueIguana Cantina, and Guy’s Burger Joint, which was developed in partnership with Food Network personality Guy Fieri. Other new venues include pharmacy-themed Alchemy Bar, the outdoor Mexican-themed BlueIguana Tequila Bar, and a gift and confectionary shop named Cherry On Top.

Passengers aged between two and eleven can now head to a new marine-inspired Camp Ocean play area to participate in more than 200 ocean-themed activities, including arts and crafts, science-oriented programming, and more.

Carnival Sensation resumed her year-round schedule of cruises from PortMiami on 23 February. The ship sails four-day cruises to Cozumel in Mexico, Nassau and the private Bahamian destinations of Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays. Her five-day voyages take guests to Grand Turk, Nassau and Half Moon Cay, or Grand Turk and Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.

Carnival Dream and Carnival Ecstasy have also been refitted this year.
