Germany’s second-oldest porcelain manufacturer Fürstenberg has been selected by Silversea Cruises to provide porcelain and tableware for its newly-refitted Silver Cloud.

Fürstenberg has provided Silversea’s Relais & Châteaux restaurant, La Dame, with its Blanc line, which the porcelain manufacturer developed together with chefs Sven Elverfeld, Nils Henkel and Tim Raue, along with designer Mikaela Dörfel.

“In projects such as the collaboration with Silversea, we are able to play out all our competencies in full,” said Stephanie Saalfeld, managing director of Fürstenberg. “On the one hand, our porcelain series brings the elegant interior design of the luxury ships to the table. On the other, we have the skilled craftsmanship and the technical possibilities that enable us to execute individual wishes, such as the elaborate fleur-de-lis pattern used on our Auréole collection in La Dame, with absolute perfection.”

“Silversea is all about bringing our guests to the most remote corners of the world in uncompromised luxury,” said Barbara Muckermann, chief marketing officer of Silversea. “This partnership with Fürstenberg allows us to heighten our culinary offering by serving it on truly exquisite porcelain.”

Silver Cloud is one of six ships in the Silversea fleet that Fürstenberg is providing porcelain for.
