Most people who have visited Dominica would attest that it is the only island which would be still recognised by Christopher Columbus today. This is thanks to the unspoilt natural beauty of its rainforest, mountains, rivers and lakes.

Dominica prides itself in being an island of natural beauty and splendour. Its rich and diverse culture and friendly people are just a fragment of the island’s unique cruise offerings, which make for the ultimate experience of every visitor. On their visit to Dominica, cruise lines and their passengers can be assured of their safety, quality customer service and an awe-inspiring experience of Dominica’s natural sites and attractions.

Dominica is the multifaceted, ‘think all do all’ destination. In fact, there is so much to see and do on this island, that the cruise visitor may feel short-changed for time. They can shop for authentic crafts at our local craft markets or at our Duty Free Emporium. Or take a tour to the island’s cascading waterfalls, walk through its tropical rainforests, bask in its therapeutic black sand beaches, enjoy the taste of its authentic cuisine on one of its cooking tours. There’s also exhilarating dives and snorkelling experiences of Dominica’s reefs, river tubing and kayaking on one of its 365 rivers and whale watching trips with an 87% sighting rate.

We’re working hard to ensure that Dominica remains a coveted place to visit for both cruise lines and guests. The development and enhancement of Dominica’s cruise facilities, sites and attractions, are done inherently with Dominica’s eco-tourism standards to ensure preservation of the island’s brand name as an ecotourism destination. We are constantly looking at ways to improve the islands cruise offerings and have recently undertaken cruise ports upgrades and site enhancements.

Once the cruise lines call into Dominica, there is lots of information and services to ensure that cruise visitors are well informed. Our tourist information centres are in close proximity to the cruise ports and are a one stop shop for all information that the passenger would need for their day in Dominica. This is all done to ensure that the visitors leave with an authentic Dominican experience.
