Green Ports & Shipping Congress: reducing emissions together

The Green Ports & Shipping Congress will take place on 8 and 9 May 2024 in Singapore.

The event will bring together representatives from the cruise industry, including ports and terminals, shipping communities and cruise lines, to discuss how best to work together to care for the environment, reduce emissions and achieve sustainability targets by 2050.

The keynote panel will discuss the areas that port-based organisations and shipping companies need to collaborate on in order to reduce carbon emissions. Keynote panel speakers will include: Antonis Michail, technical director at the International Association of Ports and Harbors/World Ports Sustainability Program; Dr Sanjay C Kuttan, chief technology officer at the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation; Er Tham Wai Wah, chief sustainability officer at Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore; Lars Robert Pedersen, deputy secretary general of the Baltic and International Maritime Council; and Eva Liu, head of shipment product, Oceania market at Maersk.

The two-day event, which will be attended by policymakers, ports and terminal operators, shipping companies, shippers and logistics companies, and fuel and propulsion providers, will also include various sessions and working groups, with ample opportunity for networking.
