Royal Caribbean International is planning a ‘multisensory’ original entertainment programme for Wonder of the Seas, which debuts on 4 March 2022 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the Caribbean.

Entertainment will be centred around the ship’s four main stages, which have themes of water, ice, air and theatre. Headline shows are titled ‘inTENse’, ’366: The Seasons on Ice’, The Effectors II’ and ‘Voices: An Intimate Performance on a Grand Scale’.

The intense production will feature an all-woman cast at the AquaTheater, an open-air amphitheatre with a deep pool at its centre. The show will include Olympic-level dives and aerial acrobatics.

The 365: The Seasons on Ice production will include champion ice skaters, The Effectors II will see the return of Royal Caribbean’s superheroes, battling against the cruise line’s fictional villains, Crash and Burn, and the Voices is a medley of music, singing and dancing.

Other onboard entertainment will include live country music at The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar; live Caribbean music at the pool bar The Lime & Coconut; tribute bands and dance performances at the Music Hall; the Stowaway Piano, which provides a twist to classic tunes; Latin music played at Boleros; acoustic performances at the Cask & Clipper; and piano accompaniment at the Schooner Bar.

Wonder of the Seas will sail from Barcelona, Spain, and Rome, Italy, between May and October 2022, and will return to the Caribbean from Port Canaveral, Florida, in November.
