Royal Caribbean International’s newest Oasis-class ship, Wonder of the Seas, will sail a maiden season in the USA and the Mediterranean when she debuts in 2022.

The vessel, which will be the world’s largest cruise ship, will begin sailing seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on 4 March. The ship will visit destinations such as Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Each sailing will include a call to Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island destination.

Wonder of the Seas will then sail to Barcelona, Spain and Rome, Italy to begin a series of seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries to destinations including Palma de Mallorca, Spain and Capri, Italy.

"The momentum taking off across bookings and our returning ships in the US and Europe is significant. With half of our fleet sailing again, we are encouraged by what we're seeing,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean International. “These regions are in the position to welcome a brand-new, innovative ship like Wonder of the Seas. Wonder will shine bright as the world's newest wonder in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. And what's in store is the ultimate vacation experience that highlights the very best of Royal Caribbean, reimagines renowned favourites and introduces new adventures every guest, no matter their age, can enjoy."

Wonder of the Seas will be the first Oasis-class ship to feature eight neighbourhoods – one more than her predecessors. The new Suite Class Neighbourhood will offer private restaurant Coastal Kitchen, a suite lounge, the line’s biggest Ultimate Family Suite for 10 people, and an elevated Suite Sun Deck with a plunge pool, a bar and sun loungers. Other new venues onboard the ship will include a cantilevered pool bar named The Vue and Wonder Playscape, an open-air play area for children with slides, climbing walls, games, an interactive mural and puzzles.

The new vessel will also feature several signature Royal Caribbean elements, such as The Ultimate Abyss waterslide, the trio of high-speed waterslides named The Perfect Storm, children’s aqua park Splashaway Bay, the FlowRider surf simulator, twin rock-climbing walls and the 10-deck-high zip line. Guests will also be able to visit the Boardwalk and Central Park neighbourhoods, enjoy the Caribbean-inspired pool deck experience, various restaurants and entertainment venues, and much more.
