Windstar Cruises, the USA-based small ship cruise line, debuted its newly renovated yacht Star Pride on 9 June 2022, having departed from Athens to Barcelona on 9 June 2022.

Star Pride was renovated at Fincantieri shipyard in Trieste, Italy, and completes Windstar’s fleet of Star Plus Class ships. The ship joins Star Breeze and Star Legend, both of which were also renovated and debuted in June and September 2021 respectively.

All three ships now have new suites and expanded outdoor and indoor public spaces. The yachts have also been updated to be more environmentally friendly with new efficient engines, generators and advanced wastewater treatment systems.

Windstar has increased the capacity of each ship from 212 to 312 guests, as well as having provided additional dining experiences, spa and fitness facilities, and an infinity pool.

“To have completed this project amidst a global pandemic is nothing short of amazing,” said Christopher Prelog, president of Windstar. “We’re grateful to our ownership and to our partners for sticking with it, and to our customers for their excitement and support of these new products.”
