Virgin Voyages has unveiled 27 new itineraries with calls to 19 new ports, bringing the Richard Branson-owned cruise line’s offering to 63 global itineraries.
The new itineraries include a return to the UK, with a series of voyages scheduled to sail from Portsmouth.The cruise line will also visit new destinations in the Caribbean, as well as ten new ports of call in Australia – including Adelaide, Port Douglas, Brisbane and Kangaroo Island.
“In the last year alone, our repeat sailor rates have tripled; these loyal travellers want more, so we’ve listened,” said Shane Riley, vice president of UK/international sales. “We’re thrilled to announce more than two dozen new itineraries featuring incredible experiences that will let these discerning holidaymakers enjoy destinations that may be familiar, in a completely different way – the Virgin way.
“We’re also incredibly excited to offer new ports of call, including a return to our British roots, with new sailings for Resilient Lady from Portsmouth from mid-August 2024. Be it sailing the sunny Mediterranean, exploring the southern waters of Australia, New Zealand, and Bali, or experiencing the English coastline, we are proud to offer more than 120 places to explore.”
Virgin Voyages’ newest ship, Resilient Lady, will homeport in Athens, Greece from May to July 2024, sailing three itineraries: ‘Greek Island Glow’, ‘Adriatic Sea and Greek Gems’, and ‘Starry Nights in Greece and Croatia’. From mid-August to September 2024, Resilient Lady will offer a series of three to six-night itineraries visiting cities in France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Resilient Lady’s European schedule also includes two repositioning voyages before closing its Mediterranean season with a Barcelona, Spain to Athens voyage. Finally, Resilient Lady will set off on a 44-night repositioning from Athens to Australia in October 2024. Once positioned in Australia, the ship will sail 15 new itineraries visiting ten new ports.
Valiant Lady will begin its winter season sailing itineraries from Miami, USA, before homeporting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for southern Caribbean itineraries from January to March 2024. Valiant Lady will trade places with its sister ship, Scarlet Lady in April 2024, offering four and five-night Caribbean itineraries from Miami.
Scarlet Lady will take on Valiant Lady’s two seven-night itineraries between May and October 2024 before embarking on an 11-night repositioning voyage from Barcelona to Civitavecchia in Italy from 3 November 2024. The vessel will then undergo general maintenance before embarking on a 16-night transatlantic voyage from Rome, Italy to Miami, calling at Funchal in Madeira, Portugal, as well as Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. Once in Miami, Scarlet Lady will offer six and eight-night winter voyages in the Caribbean from December 2024 until spring 2025.
