Scandinavian operator Viking Line has partnered with German skincare and spa treatment company Babor to renew the spa services onboard its cruise ferries.

Viking Line is upgrading its spa services – currently available on all ships sailing from the Finnish ports of Helsinki and Turku to Stockholm in Sweden – in response to a 2017 survey which found that its Finnish passengers’ interest in spa tourism has increased by 11%. According to the survey, customers now want a variety of massage options, more facials and more combination treatments.

After the spa services have been renewed, passengers will be able to test and purchase tax-free priced professional spa products manufactured by Babor. They will also have access to a menu of treatments specifically designed to meet their requirements.

“Viking Line is the only cruise line providing spa services on the Baltic Sea,” said Saara Lamont, the company’s spa operations manager. “We hope that our latest changes will provide our customers with even better opportunities for a nautical spa experience. Our cooperation with Babor enables us to meet the varied expectations of our customers.”
