Small-ship cruise line UnCruise Adventures has resumed sailing in southeast Alaska following the pause in operations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Wilderness Adventurer departed from Juneau, Alaska with 37 passengers and 30 crew. Physical distancing measures have been put in place for the sailing, with the ship carrying a maximum of 66 per cent of its total capacity. Testing is also provided for guests, while enhanced health and safety protocols have been implemented.

“Travellers want to have a positive impact upon communities and the environment now more than ever,” said Dan Blanchard, CEO of UnCruise Adventures. “Protection and stimulus for small businesses and those in travel should be a significant priority. This is a meaningful and challenging time. One that requires us to be diversified, humble, and nimble in our choices.”

UnCruise Adventures has five seven-night ‘Glacier Bay Adventure’ itineraries scheduled for the rest of the summer.
