Two brand new cruise events, Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit Europe and Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit Americas, will take place in December 2024 and June 2025 respectively.
The CXI events, which have been created by the founders of Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo and will run alongside those events, will showcase the technological advancements in marine interior design that are impacting the guest experience. The events will feature tailor-made content, an array of suppliers specialising in cruise ship technology and a mix of formal and informal networking experiences.
According to CXI’s organisers: “Cruise brands seek to deliver personalisation at scale, hoping to recreate what’s known in the industry as the ‘small ship experience’ even for guests on board the largest megaships. From smart room controls that allow guests to calibrate their room to their personal taste to wearables that generate curated experiences using guest data, cruise ship technology is steering the course for guest experience. Behind the scenes, cruise line designers are tapping new suppliers to create interiors with improved functionality, such as the automated retractable theatre seating on board MSC World Europa.
“As tech influences more areas of cruise ship design than ever before, it’s important that buyers with far-reaching briefs meet the suppliers with the know-how. CXI invites suppliers specialising in immersive cruise ship technology, smart room controls, RFID technology, interactive displays, wayfinding systems, culinary innovation and more to exhibit and demonstrate their products.”
Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit Europe takes place from 4-5 December 2024 at ExCeL London, UK, co-located with CSI Europe, while Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit Americas runs from 3-4 June 2025 at Miami Beach Convention Center in Florida.
