UK-based company Live Business is to be the exclusive entertainment supplier for TUI River Cruises, which will launch its first three ships in summer 2020.

Live Business will prepare an innovative entertainment programme for TUI Maya, TUI Isla and TUI Skyla, recruiting cruise directors, hosts, resident musicians, guest acts, local cultural acts, shore excursion experts and other experts to deliver the content to passengers.

In addition, Live Business’s team of in-house animators, illustrators and graphic designers will also create bespoke digital content that incorporates customised TUI River Cruises graphics. The content will be used as part of the cruise line’s light entertainment programmes.

“Holidaymakers will naturally be attracted to TUI’s reputation for quality and excellent service, but it’s up to Live Business to ensure the onboard entertainment offering matches all other service areas presenting variety, flexibility and choice with its entertainment programme,” said Dan Lock, managing director of Live Business. “Guests can expect to experience a variety of daytime excursions including bike tours, cultural and sightseeing outings, cookery masterclasses, local vineyard visits, well-being sessions and many other activities, through to the innovative light entertainment evening programme delivered in the main lounge venue during sailings.”

Live Business has an existing partnership with TUI Group and is already the exclusive entertainment supplier for TUI Blue, TUI Gold and TUI Lapland.

“Continuing our long-standing partnership with TUI is testament to the services we have provided to the world’s largest travel and tourism operator for the past 20 years,” said Mark Dixon, managing director of Live Business. “We’re hopeful of reaching out to the UK’s ocean cruise market in order to attract guests wishing to try something different by way of a TUI river cruise holiday. By celebrating and exploring these fantastic destinations we’ll be visiting, we are able to provide a cultural high-class experience by day and intertwine the evening delivery with specific destination-led events and traditional programmes.”
