Finnish shipbuilder Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) to build two new passenger and car ferries for Tasmanian shipping operator TT-Line Company.

According to the contract, which was signed during a virtual video conference, RMC will begin constructing TT-Line’s vessels in spring 2022, with the first being delivered at the end of 2023 and the second at the end of 2024.

The new agreement means that RMC now has four passenger ferry projects underway, including Wasaline’s Aurora Botnia and Tallink Grupp’s MyStar.
