UK-based marine interior outfitter Trimline has completed refits onboard a trio of P&O Ferries vessels at three different shipyards over the past three months.

The first vessel to undergo renovations was Spirit of Britain, which was dry docked at Damen Shipyard in Rotterdam, Netherlands. During the three-week project, Trimline’s team replaced all hot and cold serveries in the Club Lounge and Food Market with self-service and ‘Grab & Go’ areas.

While working on Spirit of Britain, Trimline also highlighted a specification change that needed implementing across all three vessels. The company worked with its suppliers to ensure the new solution was ready in time for the refits onboard Spirit of France, which was carried out in Tilbury, UK, and Pride of Kent, which was completed in Newcastle, UK.

All projects were finished ahead of schedule and on budget.

“The team, both onboard and at head office, has been incredible from start to finish, helping us to exceed all scheduling and quality standards and deliver impressive refits across all three ships,” said Antonio Pezzella, project manager at Trimline.

This marks the first time Trimline has worked with P&O Ferries.

“Working on a new brand is always a learning curve, but our team has delivered an outstanding programme of refits, and we are delighted to have already been invited to work on other ships in the P&O Ferries fleet,” said Simon Dawkins, director of sales at Trimline.
