Using Cruise Shipping Miami as a platform to share its future plans, the Port Authority of Huelva has released details about developments to its dock and pier, as well as a new network to boost cruise tourism in the area.

At the event, port representatives released details of the South Dock, located in the outer harbour, and Levante, in the centre of the city, which are well-equipped to handle cruise ships. The South Pier, located in the entrance channel to the Port, meanwhile, has been designed to accommodate larger cruise vessels.

The port also discussed its Cruise Observatory, which has been renamed Huelva Cruise Network, designed to help local institutions and businesses better prepare themselves to welcome cruise passengers and improve the quality of services they deliver.

This year, the Spanish port expects to receive visits from eight cruise ships and 10,000 visitors.
