Tallink’s ferry Victoria I will enter drydock in Finland for scheduled maintenance work, including cleaning and repainting the underwater hull, as well as the construction of a new entrance on deck seven.
The work will take place at the Naantali shipyard from 1-14 March 2026 with the hull work essential to reduce water resistance to maintain the ship’s hydrodynamic properties. Other work will include renewing some seawater pipes and valves, which can only be carried out when the ship is in drydock.
The new entrance will enable the ferry to change its berth in the Port of Helsinki, which is due to undergo extensive renovation and infrastructure works at the port’s West Harbour over the coming years, as additional yard and berth space is required.
While Victoria I is in drydock, biofuel-powered shuttle ships MyStar and Megastar will take over operations on the Tallinn, Estonia, to Helsinki, Finland, route. Victoria I will resume sailing from 15 March.
