Tallink Grupp has released images of the interiors of its newest LNG-powered vessel, MyStar, designed by Finnish agency dSign Vertti Kivi & Co.

“We are very excited to invite everyone to take the first sneak-peak into the marvellous interior of our newest shuttle MyStar – the key strategic project we have been working on since autumn 2019,” said Piret Mürk-Dubout, a member of Tallink Grupp’s management board. “Following the vessel’s christening and launch this summer, we are now at the exciting stage of the construction project where the novel traveller concepts and amazing interior elements of the vessel are starting to come to life area by area onboard the vessel.”

MyStar will have 14 public areas, each of which have been designed around the theme of ‘Beauty of the Baltic Sea’. These include the Traveller Superstore, which features a Discovery Station for sampling new products at its centre. The retail space will feature both fixed and pop-up sales points such as the Nordic Corner, which will showcase local products and design.

“We chose Beauty of the Baltic Sea as the overarching theme for the interior design of the vessel – a story which is told by using exclusive underwater video and photo compilations throughout the vessel,” said Vertti Kivi, head designer and CEO of dsign Vertti Kivi & Co. “Every public area on the vessel conveys its unique character and atmosphere, which is created featuring various contrasting surface materials, new colour palette, furnishings created exclusively for the vessel as well as bold lighting solutions. From the newly revealed visuals the spirit of MyStar can be truly felt.”

The vessel is currently under construction at the Rauma Marine Constructions shipyard in Rauma, Finland. She is scheduled to be delivered in spring 2022, when she will begin operation between the cities of Tallinn, Estonia, and Helsinki, Finland.
