The new Menu Nordic features autumnal Scandinavian flavours with an Asian twist

Tallink Grupp has launched a new five-course Menu Nordic for guests onboard cruise vessels sailing on its Helsinki-Stockholm and Tallinn-Stockholm routes.

The menu is renewed by Tallink Grupp twice a year, with work beginning on the Autumn 2022 menu in April. Sami Leino, chef de cuisine onboard Tallink’s Silja Serenade, and his team developed options that highlight traditional Scandinavian autumnal flavours with an Asian twist.

Ingredients for the menu will be sourced locally, including pike perch, funnell chanterelle and pork cheek from Sweden and ash cheese from Finland.

“Menu Nordic is truly the flagship menu of our culinary fleet,” said Leino. “I am pleased that, as we head into the autumn season, I was able to create together with my team a complete menu which brings together our guests’ favourite elements full of freshness, kick and great umami flavour to beautifully complement each other.”

Menu Nordic will be available until 2 April 2023 onboard Silja Serenade and Silja Symphony in the Bon Vivant restaurant, and onboard Baltic Queen in the Gourmet restaurant.
