The 2026 edition of the World Ocean Council’s Sustainable Ocean Summit is set to take place from 4-5 November 2026 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain.

The summit, taking place alongside the Global Blue Finance Summit, will bring together over 250 C-suite executives and senior leaders from sectors such as shipping, ports, fisheries, aquaculture, offshore energy, tourism and finance. Participants will engage in discussions on sustainability and the integration of economic development with environmental stewardship for coastal cities and the ocean ecosystem.

The event will open will open with a welcome speech by CEO Stewart Sarkozy-Banoczy and Rick Wall, director of external affairs of the World Ocean Council. A programme of sessions will include discussions of how to measure the blue economy, strategies to achieve maritime decarbonisation, and the need to tackle ocean pollution, among many others.
