Sustainable Design Summit has changed its format to provide year-round discussions for interior designers in all hospitality sectors, now including cruise, aviation, hotel and resort, rail and automotive.

Regular working groups will take place throughout the year. The trends and questions raised in the discussion will inform the topics and session host of the following working group, progressing along with participants knowledge. SDS working groups will include in-person events in cities such as Miami and London.

The first working group will take place online on 24 April. Attendees will discuss the practical applications of data analysis and how to partner with suppliers to improve environmental outcomes in the session, which is titled ‘Impact analytics + 10 ways to use your data to drive sustainability improvements.’ The session will also include a project spotlight from a hotel brand on the reasons for the success of their recent project.

The Summit itself will move to a bi-yearly schedule. However, SDS will curate annual in-person galleries showcasing sustainable products and solutions from interior suppliers. The 2024 Product Showcase will be located at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe in the ExCeL London on 5-6 December. Visitors to the Product Showcase will be able to expand their library of sustainable materials and develop connections with suppliers.

The calendar of working groups is available on Sustainable Design Summit’s website.
