Saga Cruises’ Spirit of Adventure has been delivered by shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Emden, Germany.

Spirit of Adventure is Saga’s second purpose-built cruise ship, joining Spirit of Discovery in the cruise line’s fleet. She can accommodate 999 passengers in 554 cabins, all of which have balconies. She will soon sail to the UK, with her inaugural cruise now scheduled to depart on 5 February 2021 for the Canary Islands.

“This is a really exciting day for us as Spirit of Adventure officially becomes part of the Saga Cruises family,” said Nigel Blanks, managing director of Saga Cruises. “Over the past 18 months, we have been focused on creating a British boutique cruising experience for our guests that is not available elsewhere on the market and Spirit of Adventure is an important milestone in this plan. Having recently visited the ship in Germany, I can assure you, she is worth the wait!”
