Silversea Cruises is to introduce new suite categories onboard Silver Endeavour during refurbishment work at the San Giorgio del Porto shipyard in Genova, Italy.

The ship will feature six new upper suites on deck eight, as well as four new suites on deck five. Two of these will be Master Suites, a new category located towards the aft of the ship offering 270-degree views from a 29-square-meter veranda. The two Master Suites will have 108 square metres of space in total, including a walk-in closet, a whirlpool bath, a main bedroom with king-sized or twin beds, and a convertible sofa in the living room.

A further four of the new suites will be Signature Suites, another new category ranging from 67 to 78 square metres. The suites will feature an open living room and dining area; a bedroom with king-sized or twin beds; floor-to-ceiling windows; a walk-in closet; and an adjoining bathroom. The living room will include a convertible sofa for a third guest, while verandas will range between 16 and 25 square metres.

The remaining four new guest suites will be installed on the ship’s starboard side and will be Classic Veranda Suites, an existing category onboard the ship. The removal of the casino on deck four will also create space for four new crew cabins, allowing the ship to accommodate seven additional crew members. This will enable Silversea to enlarge the ship’s expedition team to 22 people and offer more specialist guidance during their cruise. Updates will also include the installation of handcrafted Lalique crystal panels in Silversea’s French restaurant, La Dame.

Following Silver Endeavour’s refurbishment, it will sail two voyages in the British Isles and Iceland, before embarking on an inaugural Arctic seas from 3 June. The ship will sail nine voyages that will call at destinations including Pond Inlet in Canada, and Qaanaaq and Cape York in Greenland.
