Silversea has completed a refurbishment of Silver Muse, marking the ship’s first major dry dock since 2017.
The work included the introduction of the S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) culinary programme, comprising S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar, alongside updates to public spaces and the addition of new suite categories.
“The transformation of Silver Muse underscores our commitment to delivering the most exceptional experiences at sea,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea. “By introducing our acclaimed S.A.L.T. programme and elevating key spaces, we are enriching the intimacy, elegance, and culinary immersion that define Silversea. These enhancements reflect our guests’ feedback and our dedication to bringing more of what they love – enriching every voyage with culture and flavour.”
Following the refurbishment in Palermo, Italy, Silver Muse returned to service in late December, sailing on a 14-night voyage from Barcelona to Lisbon in the Mediterranean. This itinerary marked the first opportunity for guests to experience the updated onboard offering.
The refurbishment introduced S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar, expanding the existing S.A.L.T. Experiences programme already available on board. The venues focus on destination-inspired cuisine and regionally influenced cocktails linked to the ship’s itineraries.

Food and beverage updates were also made across several existing venues. These included changes to offerings at Dolce Vita, Arts Café, La Terrazza, The Grill and the in-suite dining programme, with revised menus and service formats introduced on a select basis across the fleet.
Public areas were refreshed, with new leisure amenities added, including a pickleball court, a putting green and a simulator experience. The ship’s pool deck was also updated with new furnishings. Silversea also introduced a new Medallion Suite category, expanding the range of accommodation options available on board.
The Silver Muse refurbishment forms part of Silversea’s wider fleet investment programme. The company has confirmed that attention will now turn to Silver Spirit, which is scheduled to undergo enhancements later this year at Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard. Planned updates include expanded public spaces, refreshed interiors and the introduction of S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar, as well as changes to the pool deck and lounge areas, drawing design inspiration from Silver Muse while maintaining the brand’s established service model.
