Adora Cruises has taken delivery of its second domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding in Shanghai, marking a further stage in the China's cruise shipbuilding programme.
The 141,900gt vessel is 341 metres long and 37.2 metres wide. It has 2,130 cabins and can accommodate more than 5,200 passengers, making it larger than Adora Cruises’ first vessel, Adora Magic City.
Adora Flora City features 28 restaurants and bars, an 800-seat theatre and a 200-metre running track. Its cabins have also undergone noise-reduction and vibration-damping testing, with indoor noise levels designed to remain below 45 decibels under maximum operating conditions.
The vessel is scheduled to arrive at Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port on 12 November, ahead of its maiden voyage from Guangzhou on 22 November. The ship’s name references Guangzhou’s nickname, the ‘Flora City’
