Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Explorer has successfully returned to service for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

The vessel embarked on an eight-day cruise from Trieste, Italy on 15 October and called at Bari, Ravenna, Taormina and Sorrento/Capri in Italy, as well as Dubrovnik and Zadar in Croatia, and Corfu, Greece. The voyage will conclude in Rome, Italy on 23 October and the vessel will then offer cruises in Southern Europe before crossing the Atlantic to Miami, Florida for a season in the Caribbean from mid-November until March 2022.

“It’s truly amazing to be back onboard Seven Seas Explorer, and it is fantastic to see our guests being treated to the unrivalled Regent experience once again,” said Jason Montague, president and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “Our crew have done an outstanding job in preparing for the ship’s return, with the service so seamless it is as if we were never away.”

Seven Seas Explorer is the second Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship to resume operations, after new vessel Seven Seas Splendor began her inaugural season on 11 September 2021. Meanwhile, Seven Seas Mariner is set to return to service from PortMiami, Florida, on 18 December, and Seven Seas Navigator will start sailing from the same port on 6 January 2022. Seven Seas Voyager will be the final ship to restart cruising, sailing her first voyage from Barcelona, Spain on 15 February 2022.

Guests and crew will all follow health and safety protocols set out in Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ SailSAFE Health and Safety Program, which was developed with guidance from a team of public health and scientific experts including the SailSAFEGlobal Health and Wellness Council.
