Seatrade Cruise Asia will take place in Kuala Lumpur and Penang from 16–20 November 2026, marking the event’s first visit to Malaysia.
The event will bring together regional cruise industry leaders to address key priorities shaping the future of cruising across Asia. It follows previous editions held in Manila in 2024 and Hong Kong in 2023, and will span two host cities for the first time.
“The Government of Malaysia, through the Ministry of Transport Malaysia, is proud to present Kuala Lumpur as the host city for Seatrade Cruise Asia 2026,” said Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, group chief executive officer of MMC Port Holdings. “Hosting this conference in Malaysia’s capital reflects the country’s commitment to positioning Malaysia as the ‘ASEAN Cruise Gateway’ for regional and global cruise tourism.”
MMC Port Holdings, the country’s largest cruise terminal operator, has been appointed chair of the organising committee. The company operates three cruise terminals: Port Klang Cruise Terminal, Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal and Langkawi Cruise Terminal.
Held in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026, the event will provide participants with the opportunity to experience the country’s cruise destinations across both Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
“Seatrade Cruise Asia 2026 is an event not to be missed as this year’s edition will be different from previous conferences, covering two cities,” Shah Mohd Yusof said. “Participants including cruise lines, terminal operators, agents, excursion partners and service providers will have the opportunity to experience Malaysia’s diverse cruise destinations.”
