Seabourn will sail its first ever ‘pole to pole grand voyage’ – a 94-day cruise visiting 60 ports in 14 countries and territories – in 2027, onboard its luxury expedition ship, Seabourn Venture.
The voyage will depart Kangerlussuaq in Greenland on 17 August and will conclude on 19 November in Ushuaia, Argentina, with a post-cruise charter flight to Buenos Aires. The voyage will span more than 20,500 nautical miles and will feature 60 port calls in 14 countries and territories, including five days in Antarctica, three in South Georgia, and three in the Falkland Islands, as well as visits to the Caribbean and South America. The cruise also includes six days sailing the Northwest Passage, crossings of the equator and 33 sea days, as well as a visit to Ellesmere Island in the Arctic Archipelago.
The ‘pole to pole grand voyage’ will sail with a 23-person expedition team of scientists, scholars, naturalists and more. This team will lead a programme of conversations on the science, history and ecology of each destination, as well as daily expedition recaps and briefings. They will also offer a range of expedition experiences including guided Zodiac tours, hikes, and nature walks; polar plunges; walking on the frozen ocean (when conditions allow) in Greenland and northern Canada; and numerous opportunities to view local wildlife such as polar bears, whales, penguins, musk ox and seals, as well as black-browed albatross in the Falkland Islands.
The voyage will also offer an onboard photography workshop led by the ship’s photographer, which will provide in-the-field instruction on photo composition, camera technique, editing and retouching.

Seabourn Venture is built to Polar Class 6 standards and includes Starlink-powered Wi-Fi, Swarovski binoculars for wildlife viewing, and a 4K GSS Cineflex camera mounted on the mast of the Constellation Lounge, which broadcasts imagery from miles away to monitors throughout the ship and in guest suites. The small ship has 132 suites, each with a private veranda and heated wardrobes.
Seabourn is also offering a shorter 82-day ‘grand expedition’, which sails from 29 August to 19 November.
“Our ‘pole to pole grand expedition’ is unlike anything we’ve ever offered and is a once-in-a-lifetime journey designed for travellers who dream of exploring the ends of the Earth in total comfort and luxury,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. “From the High Arctic to Antarctica, guests will sail through some of the most remote and awe-inspiring places on Earth, all while enjoying the hallmarks of Seabourn’s luxury experience. It is an extraordinary voyage that only Seabourn can deliver.”
