Seabourn Pursuit is to sail Seabourn’s first expedition voyages to both the South Pacific and the Kimberley region in the north of Western Australia in 2024.

The Carnival Corporation-owned cruise line will offer expedition itineraries in the region from March to October 2024.

Seabourn Pursuit will sail across the Pacific and visit multiple destinations including Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Guam, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Fiji, as well as the Kimberley region.

Seabourn Pursuit will operate 14, 17 and 20-day voyages from Chile to Melanesia in March and April, and again in September and October 2024. The ship will then sail a series of 15-day itineraries to Papua New Guinea and West Papua, Indonesia, in May and June, and again in August and September 2024.

In June, July and August 2024, Seabourn Pursuit will offer six 10-day expedition voyages between Broome in the Kimberley region and Darwin in Australia’s Northern Territory. Available excursions will enable guests to experience Aboriginal culture, see local wildlife such as short-eared rock-wallabies, and explore significant geological marine environments, including Montgomery Reef, which was formed 1.8 billion years ago.

Expedition offerings available on most itineraries will include nature walks and hikes, scuba diving and snorkelling, and Zodiac cruising. Guests will also have the option to board one of the ship’s two custom-built luxury submersibles for underwater excursions and kayak at select destinations. These expeditions will be led by a team of 24 experts, including scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more.

“I am so excited about these voyages because Seabourn Pursuit allows us to take our guests to completely different and truly fascinating parts of the world, where one can celebrate a combination of natural beauty and human culture,” said Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn. “Our warm-weather expeditions in the South Pacific and Kimberley region will offer guests the opportunities to dive and snorkel over incredible intact coral reefs, visit friendly locals and explore historic sites. And, of course, guests will experience these bucket-list destinations in the comfort of our signature Seabourn ultra-luxury offerings and service.”
