British-based cruise line Saga have announced it will be initiating a multimillion pound refurbishment on its 37,301-ton Sapphire vessel in November 2011. The company will be working alongside interior designers RPW Designs in order to complete the renovation for 2012.

“Our mission has always been to surprise and delight our passengers,” said Saga Cruising CEO Robin Shaw. “Saga Sapphire will be transformed during the refurbishment and deliver some truly unique designs.”

As well as remodelling all of the public spaces onboard the ship including The Drawing Room and The Pier, Sapphire will also feature jacuzzi facilities, an open air cinema and wifi connection with access to iPads.

Other attractions will include international themed restaurants in addition to various bars and lounges located onboard.
