Royal Princess made her maiden call at the Port of Los Angeles in California on 25 March, marking the start of Princess Cruises’ biggest West Coast cruise season to date.

Guests and crew onboard the 3,560-guest Royal Princess were greeted by live music from the University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band, which also played as the vessel departed on her first seven-day ‘Mexican Riviera’ itinerary from Los Angeles amidst a fireworks display.

Royal Princess will sail weekly departures from Los Angeles to destinations on the Mexican Riviera until 27 April, when she will sail north to Vancouver, Canada and begin a series of Alaska cruises. In September, the vessel will return to Los Angeles and spend the next six months offering voyages to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera and the California coast.
