Royal Caribbean International held a keel laying ceremony for its seventh Oasis-class ship at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, on 11 June.

During the ceremony, the first steel block was placed on top of a layer of freshly minted coins, in keeping with maritime tradition.

The unnamed ship is scheduled to debut in 2028 and will deliver new and immersive entertainment and dining venues. It follows on from Utopia of the Seas, the sixth ship in the Oasis class.
