Royal Caribbean International is to return to New Orleans in in the 2018-2019 season, marking the first time the line has sailed from the Louisiana, US port in three years.
Vision of the Seas will arrive in New Orleans on 15 December 2018 and begin sailing seven-night cruises to destinations across the Bahamas and Yucatan Peninsula. Before repositioning to her new homeport, the ship will offer two 16-night sailings through the Panama Canal from Miami to Los Angeles, California and then to New Orleans. This will be the first time in three years that Royal Caribbean will pass through the Panama Canal.
Meanwhile on the Gulf Coast, Enchantment of the Seas will move from Miami, Florida to join Liberty of the Seas in Galveston, Texas on 23 June 2018. The former will offer four- and five-night Caribbean cruises that will complement Liberty of the Seas’ popular seven-night Caribbean vacations.
Mariner of the Seas will also head to a new homeport for 2018. Returning from her long deployment in the Asia-Pacific region, the ship will become the first Voyager-class vessel to offer three- and four-night Caribbean cruises from Miami. The sailings will begin on 21 June following a 32-day revitalisation.
