Riviera Travel is to add Riviera Rhapsody to its Europe-based river cruise ship fleet in April 2028.

Designed specifically for North American guests, Riviera Rhapsody will join the Radiance-class fleet alongside Riviera Radiance, Riviera Resplendence and Riviera Reflection. The ship will feature a split-level architectural layout, high ceilings and expansive open spaces to create “an airy, residential feel”.

Public spaces will include a two-storey lounge and three onboard restaurants – the main restaurant, tapas-style venue Mosaic and the Riverview Bistro, which will have panoramic windows, an open kitchen and al fresco seating.

The vessel will offer 89 cabins spread across three decks, with notable accommodation options including the 334-square-foot Grand Suites, which comprise a living room, bedroom with a king-size bed, bathroom and a private balcony. There will also be 258-square-foot Superior Suites with floor-to-ceiling French balconies and a dedicated sitting area, as well as 172-square-foot standard staterooms with French balconies and indoor seating areas, and entry-level cabins on the lower decks with fixed windows.

“Riviera Rhapsody represents an exciting expansion of our Radiance-class fleet and our continued investment in the North American market,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel. “Her name reflects a spirited and expressive sense of travel, capturing the emotional connection and sense of discovery that define Riviera Travel’s European river cruise experiences. As demand continues to grow among North American travellers for elevated river cruising, this new ship delivers the modern design, comfort and immersive itineraries they’re looking for.”

Riviera Rhapsody will debut on 1 April with a ‘Bruges, Medieval Flanders, Amsterdam & The Dutch Bulbfields’ itinerary along the Dutch Waterways. In the summer, the ship will reposition to the Rhine River to operate various itineraries.
