German hotelier Seaside Collection has expanded the fleet of its new river cruise line, Riverside Luxury Cruises, with the acquisition of four new ships.

Bach, Ravel, Mahler and Debussy were originally designed and operated by Crystal Cruises before the cruise brand’s insolvency. The ships will now have the ‘Riverside’ prefix added to their names, with their addition to the fleet allowing Riverside Luxury Cruises to expand their itineraries to the Rhine, Rhône & Saône rivers.

Beginning in April 2023, Riverside Luxury Cruises will begin sailing with cruises along the Danube River onboard Riverside Mozart. Riverside Ravel will offer itineraries on the Rhône and Saône rivers during 2023, while Riverside Debussy will embark on sailings along the Rhine. Itineraries for Riverside Bach and Riverside Mahler will be launched in 2024 and announced later in 2023.

All the ships will provide 24-hour room service from its onboard butlers, as well as a crew of sommeliers and bartenders. Wellness experiences will also be curated to encourage guests to enjoy the river and countryside both onshore and onboard the ship.

“We are thrilled by the expansion of our fleet to include these storied vessels," says Gregor Gerlach, founder of Riverside Luxury Cruises. "This acquisition allows us to expand our itinerary offerings, showcasing a level of space, personalised service and elegance not found with any other river cruise line."
